About Horoscope & Tarot

Horoscope & Tarot is a small, independent site with a simple aim: a little perspective for the day ahead.

We publish horoscopes for each of the twelve sun signs, a daily tarot card and three-card spreads, notes on the Moon's phase, numerology and compatibility pages, and a journal of longer articles. Everything is written to be read in a few minutes, on a commute or over breakfast, and to leave you with something you can actually do that day.

What we are

We think of the site as a magazine column more than an oracle. A good horoscope or tarot reading, in our view, works the way a thoughtful friend's question does. It doesn't tell you what will happen. It asks you to look at your day from a slightly different angle: the message you haven't answered, the calendar that is too full, the plan that deserves a second look.

So our readings are practical and low-key. You will find suggestions like "check what you already promised yourself before you agree to something new," not ominous warnings about the week ahead.

What we aren't

We are not fortune tellers, and we don't claim that astrology or tarot can predict events. Neither has been shown scientifically to do so, and we won't pretend otherwise. We offer them as tools for reflection and as a bit of daily pleasure, in the same spirit as a well-written column.

That also means we will never:

• Tell you that something bad is about to happen.
• Claim to know another person's private thoughts or feelings.
• Offer certainty about health, pregnancy, money, legal matters or other serious decisions.
• Choose "scarier" tarot cards to encourage you to pay for more.

Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. If you are facing something serious, please talk to someone qualified. Our disclaimer has more detail, including crisis resources.

How readings are made

Daily horoscopes are sun-sign readings, shared by everyone born under that sign. They are not personal birth charts. Tarot cards are drawn at random by our server, and your draw is saved before it is shown, so it doesn't change if you refresh. Some of our writing is drafted with AI assistance, and we are open about where and how. Our methodology page explains all of this in full.

Readings on this site are prepared through that process, not personally by a psychic or astrologer, unless a page clearly says otherwise.

Who writes it

Articles and pages are bylined to Horoscope & Tarot editors. We don't put invented names or credentials on our work.

Free and premium

Much of the site is free, including a daily tarot card. A premium membership adds further features and helps keep the site independent. Free and premium versions of a reading are written from the same daily interpretation, so paying never gets you a different or "better" outlook.
